Framing Britney Spears: What to expect, spoilers, reveal
According to a statement promoting the documentary, Framing Britney Spears promises a “reexamination of his career and a new assessment of the movement that meets against his tutelage imposed by the court, captures the unpleasant dimensions of the American pop-star machine”.
The documentary explores the legal basis for guardianship, as well as the requirements that both Spears – and his guardian (s) appointed by the judge – must follow. Jamie Spears was his daughter’s conservator until the fall of 2019, when he backed down due to health problems. He is now back as a co-conservative with the Bessemer Trust Company, the latter supposedly appointed by Britney herself.

The new documentary includes interviews with people who were previously part of the singer’s inner circle, including Felicia Culotta, a family friend who was Spears’ longtime personal assistant. The producers also interview a lawyer who has worked for Spears and speak to the growing legion of fans behind the #FreeBritney movement.
Spears, who has not performed since the cancellation of his Las Vegas residency in 2019, has not publicly commented on the release of the new documentary, and does not appear in Framing Britney Spears. It is important to note that no one in his camp spoke about the doctor or refuted any of his statements.
