A group of teenagers move to London in search of sexual freedom and then the epidemic hits. It is sin, the new British miniseries by Russell T. Davies – from Years and years and the original UK Queer As Folk – combines the kind of 1980s nostalgia that is very common on TV today with the reality of the AIDS crisis. The five-episode miniseries recently debuted on UK Channel 4 and will hit HBO Max (home to many good British imports) in one go on February 18th. Already acclaimed with great reviews worldwide, It is sin stars Olly Alexander as Ritchie, who will live with a group of young gay men, played by Omari Douglas, Callum Scott Howells and Nathaniel Curtis, and her best friend, played by Lydia West. The rest of the cast includes Neil Patrick Harris, Stephen Fry, Tracy-Ann Oberman, Shaun Dooley and the great Keeley Hawes. Call the Pet Shop Boys and start dancing or crying, or probably both.
