Bridgerton fans are waiting for news that the second season is coming. Although Netflix recently announced that the show has already broken some records since its debut, no official renewal has been revealed. However, it seems that fans may have found a big clue that it may actually be happening.

Reddit user sailormars1776 posted a photo of a casting call by the same casting director, KVH Casting, who did the first season. They are currently looking for two female characters, one of Indian descent playing aged 21-28 and one of mixed Caucasian / Indian descent playing 20-26.

Although it does not say what TV show it is for, the cast call also notes that filming will star in late February, which is currently close to the time they say the second season is set to begin.

Several other reddit users have pointed out that the casting call suits Kate and Edwina, two characters who are featured in the second book in the series and who would enter Anthony’s journey while he was trying to find a wife. According to the description of the second book:

“Anthony Bridgerton not only decided to get married – he even chose a wife! The only obstacle is his bride’s older sister, Kate Sheffield – the most nosy woman who ever lived in a London ballroom. The witty conspirator is leaving Anthony mad at his determination to prevent the engagement, but when he closes his eyes at night, Kate is the woman who haunts his increasingly erotic dreams …

Contrary to popular belief, Kate is sure that retired libertines not be the best husbands – and Anthony Bridgerton is the most wicked rascal of all. Kate is determined to protect her sister – but she fears that her own heart is vulnerable. And when Anthony’s lips touch hers, she is suddenly afraid of not being able to resist the reprehensible libertine … “

With so much on the air with this series, we hope this is the signal we needed for the second season.
