Bridgerton DID NOT start filming Season 2 … with Luke Newton’s photos on Instagram, just setbacks from Season 1

Bridgerton star Luke Newton has inadvertently left fans in a frenzy after he posted photos from the set of the Netflix drama series.

Many implicit in the photos and in their cryptic caption – ‘The boys are back in town’ – that filming is underway in the 2nd season of the series.

That turned out not to be the case, as co-star Nicola Coughlan said filming hasn’t started yet, while Newton finally edited his post, adding the hashtags #THROWBACK and # SEASON1 to avoid any confusion.

The photos featured Newton, who plays Colin Bridgerton in the hit series, and Jonathan Bailey, who plays his older brother Anthony on the show.

The photos showed the pair talking on horseback and having fun between takes, including a video on the set.

After several media outlets started publishing stories that the second season had started shooting, based on these photos, Coughlan set the record directly on Twitter.

‘Not yet! Wigs and dresses yet to be made, but soon! Coughlan said, clearing the air about the start of production.

Although production has not yet started, the cast is certainly underway, with Netflix announcing a new character last month.
