More than a few teams have refused the opportunity to train at the Senior Bowl. The Panthers and Dolphins accepted.
“It was great,” Dolphins coach Brian Flores told reporters about the experience after Saturday’s game. “We had a very good and very good week with these young players. They really worked hard. Many of them made great impressions not only on our team, but also on teams from across the league. But we spend most of the time with them. We saw them at meetings, we saw them take things from meetings to walk-through to practice. I thought everyone got along and then came and competed today, so it was a good week. “
Flores admitted that some players left a good impression on him, but he obviously did not want to mention names.
“We felt that there were some guys who could help our team,” said Flores. “We are not going to dive into the names of who these guys are, but there were a lot of talented players. I thought Jim Nagy and the senior Bowl team did a great job in bringing talented players here for us to coach and a lot of them, they did well. ”
Without Scouting Combine, the Senior Bowl can mean more than normal for decisions made by teams during the draft. The Panthers and Dolphins, when accepting the invitation to train in the Senior Bowl, got a little more information than the other teams.
