Nowadays, if you watch a music video The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, the chances are very good that you will feel confused. Among speedrunners, trick snipers and combat aces who embrace the open world adventure, we are still routinely seeing the game take it to new limits. Case in point, only in 2020, Breath of the Wild discovered fans 20 new bugs who can explore the game in all ways.
But seeing is one thing and doing is another. If you’ve always wanted to imitate the masters who do cool things in Breath of the Wild, you can get overwhelmed – where would you start? The good news is that there are resources available to you. In mid-January, well-known combat guru Max ‘RinHara5aki’ Blumenthal launched a massive combat glossary through Google Docs that analyzes all types of techniques, from advanced diversions to race variants.
Be warned: the document is so big that Blumenthal recommends viewing it on the desktop instead of on the phone. I’m on a Mac Air and it’s so demanding that it’s slowing down my computer! Part of that is because it is so comprehensive, with Blumenthal promising to add more tricks over time. In addition, the document includes a variety of GIFs that show exactly what you want to watch, along with button entries. It also tells you the difficulty you can expect from each move and whether it is really useful or if there is more to show. Some things look cool!
Here is a quick example of many: the effect persistence rotation, an easier trick that was discovered by neo_bocchi. Blumenthal writes:

Effect Persistence Spin is an alternative version of Bow Spin, allowing you to maintain elemental effects infinitely while spinning. Although it has an advantage over Bow Spin because it is able to use the effects of the Great Flameblade and has a broader attack range, it is inferior because of its horrible configuration. You must waste all your resistance and start to spin a little before your resistance fully recovers. Approaching a 0-resistance fight ahead of time just to perform this technique makes it difficult to recommend doing it consistently, but because of its range and elementary production, it can be useful in causing chaos in mass crowd fights .
You can read everything here (assuming your computer can handle it).
