The Colts are re-signing cornerback Xavier Rhodes for a $ 6.5 million 1-year deal by Ian Rapoport.
THE #Colts they concentrated on keeping theirs, and they do so with Xavier Rhodes. He gets a 1-year deal, $ 6.5 million, the source said, to build on what he did last year. https://t.co/gbnRvWxny0

After a bad year with the Vikings in 2019, Rhodes was exceptional for Indianapolis last season, with 12 passing deflections and two interceptions.
Rhodes also had one of the best seasons of his career, yielding just 0.519 percent completion, according to the Professional Football Reference.
Despite the departure of former defensive coach Jonathan Gannon – Gannon is now DC with the Philadelphia Eagles – Rhodes returns to the Colts in another friendly deal.
As the free agency continues to develop, so does GM Chris Ballard’s plan, which now includes rewarding two of his best players – Xavier Rhodes and Marlon Mack – with one-year extensions.
There is no doubt that Rhodes’ return is a huge victory for the Colts, as the team has now retained the same secondary holders from last season – including Pro-Bowl cornerback Kenny Moore and emerging star Julian Blackmon.
With a full year of DC Matt Eberflus system under his belt, the former All-Pro in Rhodes will try to improve his performance from last year.
