BREAKING: Event similar to Disney California Adventure with tickets to the Festival, in mid-March, with food and drinks, live entertainment and much more

In a letter commemorating the 20º Disney California Adventure Park’s birthday today, Disneyland Resort President Ken Potrock announced directly to cast members that a new offer will be sent to the resort soon. A copy of that letter is below.

Dear cast members,

It is hard to believe that 20 years have passed since we received our first visitors to Disney California Adventure Park. Although I am relatively new to Disneyland Resort, I was very excited to visit Disney California Adventure that first year and I loved seeing the park evolve over the past two decades and the role it has played in creating a multi-day destination for our Guests. From ongoing expansions and enhancements focused on bringing more Disney stories to the park, including Cars Land, to our next mission to equip the next generation of superheroes on Avengers Campus, we continue to add new and vibrant experiences for visitors.

I am pleased to report that Avengers Campus is making incredible progress. From futuristic architecture, theatrical lighting, exclusive audio, creative food, beautiful costumes and innovative merchandise, the land will be an immersive experience that we know our visitors will love. And while we’re not ready to reveal the Avengers Campus to the world yet, I’m excited about another very special opportunity we have at Disney California Adventure Park that meets our top priorities: bringing more cast members back to work and getting involved with our Guests in different and relevant ways.

Currently planned to start in mid-March, we will debut an entirely new experience with limited time tickets, focused on our world-famous food and beverage offerings throughout the resort, the latest products and unique and carefully crafted entertainment experiences .. everything to be offered several days a week. With limited capacity and enhanced health and safety measures in place, visitors will once again enter a magical Disney environment – an environment that will provide the memorable and fun experiences that our visitors desire.

At the moment, teams across the resort are developing this distinctly Disney experience, so there are many more details to come, but I wanted you – our cast members – to know this news first. Stay tuned for the official announcement soon.

What excites me most is that this initiative – along with the recent reopening of our open-air restaurant on Buena Vista Street – allows us to bring around 1,000 cast members back to work. While this is clearly not all we want, it is a start. The teams are working as we speak to begin to recall the cast identified in the coming weeks.

The past year has presented extraordinary challenges, but this has in no way diminished our ability to move forward with optimism. Thank you to each of you for your contributions to making Disneyland Resort a place where dreamers from around the world are always welcome. Stay safe and be well.

Regards,
Ken
Disneyland Resort President
