After more than a year of closure, Disneyland Resort theme parks are scheduled to reopen according to California’s revised guidelines in late April 2021.
Bob Chapek announced at today’s Annual Shareholders’ Meeting that Disney is planning to reopen Disneyland Park and Disney’s California Adventure in late April. Theme parks may reopen starting April 1, but Disney is choosing to take some additional time to prepare the parks for visitors.
Disney California Adventure will open (for real) for a ticket event called “A Touch of Disney” on March 18 without attractions. The complete reopening of the theme park would include rides and more with limited capacity and a number of other security restrictions in place.
Bob Chapek said more details about the complete reopening of the Disneyland Resort will be shared at a later date.
