In Tom Brady’s nine Super Bowls, the Patriots always started slowly. He doesn’t know why.
Asked about the Patriots scoring a total of three points in the first quarters of the nine Super Bowls he played in, Brady said he was unable to explain.
“I didn’t think about it too much,” said Brady. “Obviously, you would love to start fast. It is difficult to explain why or why it did not. I’m sure they are all individual things, why this happened or not. “
Given how well Brady played in the other three quarters (and overtime) of the Super Bowls, the scoring drought in the first quarter is more of a curiosity than a concern. Brady is shrugging.
