Bradley Beal reacts to Kelly Oubre’s best 40-point performance

Before Kelly Oubre Jr. landed in the Bay Area, he spent his first three seasons in association with the Washington Wizards. During the first three years of his NBA career, Oubre Jr. was a teammate with All-Star scorer Bradley Beal.

On Thursday night, Beal followed Oubre Jr.’s performance by the Golden State Warriors. The ex-mage scored 40 points, his career record, in 14 of 21 field shots in 36 minutes against the Dallas Mavericks. Oubre Jr. produced his best Splash Brother impression, punching seven points every 10 attempts beyond the arc.

Along with his new best career score, the 25-year-old added eight bags, two assists, a steal and a block in Golden State’s 147-116 victory over the Mavs.

After the night of Oubre’s career in Dallas, Beal joined the conversation on Twitter with a message to his former teammate.

When it comes to high-scoring performances, Beal knows what he’s talking about. In 17 games this season, the 27-year-old has scored 37 or more points in six games this season, including a 60-point eruption against the Philadelphia 76ers. Beal averages 34.8 points in 48.5% of field shots during the start of the 2020-21 season.
