The Bruins lost to the Islanders on Thursday, 7-2. Tied 2-2 in the third period, Boston failed to contain a flurry of five goals in New York.

Brad Stevens discussed his difficult week: Since Wednesday, February 17, the Celtics are 1-4, including several defeats to the Hawks. It has been a tough stretch for Boston, as the team is currently under 0.500, despite pre-season expectations that he would be a candidate at the Eastern Conference.
Celtics coach Brad Stevens, be criticized for the team’s failure, even with players like Jayson Tatum and basketball operations president Danny Ainge defending him.
Stevens, asked how things have been in the last few days, offered a revealing quote during his interview on Thursday in 98.5 “Zolak & Bertrand” by The Sports Hub.
“I was telling my wife that I had a root canal and my identity was stolen last week and I think those were two of my best days in the past eight days,” said Stevens. “It is just what it is.”
“This was a difficult stretch,” admitted Stevens. “These first 32 games were difficult, obviously, whatever. It is not so unpredictable, although the past few weeks have been, I would say, exponentially more difficult. “
Asked a supplementary question about the attempted identity theft, Stevens offered some context.
“It was like it was real, people were trying to open letters and all that stuff by calling Target,” explained Stevens. “As if I have a lot of interest in opening a Target card now in the middle of this series of games, right? Much less never, I never do [that] thing.”
