Selection Sunday was relatively quiet on the court. The Ohio State-Illinois game in the Big Ten Tournament game has no impact on the projection of the NCAA tournament key from the result.

Cincinnati had a chance to steal an offer this afternoon, but it didn’t work out against Houston in the final of the AAC tournament. The Cougars won 91-54 and will get a high seed at the NCAA Tournament. Houston believes it is difficult and is projected as the third seed.

São Boaventura won VCU 74-65 to take home the Atlantic 10 championship. The Rams may be a little nervous during the selection show this afternoon, but I think they will still take the field.

Alabama held LSU 80-79 to win the SEC championship. The Crimson Tide will be seed No. 2, perhaps even No. 5 overall, and is a legitimate threat to reach the Final Four.

Finally, Colgate is the Patriot League winner after defeating Loyola-Maryland 85-72 in the title game played at Colgate. Raiders have a NET rating of No. 9 coming into the day, but they are likely to see a seed with a much higher number in the key.

There is no movement between the last four teams on the field and the first four out of this morning. I did this a little by rubbing seeds in the middle of the support, however.

I hope your team enters! I’m glad that March Madness is back ..
