This weekend started off productive for some teams in the bubble of the 2021 NCAA tournament. Particularly at the SEC, where Arkansas has won its best win of the season so far with an overtime victory at No. 10 Missouri, and LSU took it to No. 16 Tennessee, 78-65, at home for their best win of the season.
The Razorbacks and Tigers have achieved their only wins over infallible teams in the NCAA Tournament, and this is particularly good for LSU, which started the day among my last four teams in the bracket.
UConn also achieved a big victory on the road by taking down Xavier, 80-72, on the return of the musketeers from a break in COVID-19.
Two other teams in my last four teams had chances for big wins on Saturday, but both were unsuccessful. North Carolina lost 12 points in 9th place, Virginia, the ACC leader. Tar Heels dropped to 12-7 this season and has yet to win a team victory in the current bracket. Indiana was dominated from the start, with a 78-59 loss in the 4th state of Ohio. The Hoosiers dropped to 11-9 overall and 2-8 against opponents in the first quadrant. Fortunately for them, the Big Ten offers many chances for quality wins.
Sunday features a couple of double bubble games, plus the first team outside the bracket is in action. All Eastern Time
