It looks like Baylor is back under them after a three-week hiatus due to COVID-19. Bears needed extra time, but got a big win in West Virginia. This also won the Big 12 championship for the Bears.

Michigan, on the other hand, looked completely lost when they were smoked by Illinois at home. The Illini were still without star Ayo Dosunmu, who broke his nose last week against Michigan State. We found out after the game that he is also in the concussion protocol. Michigan is still waiting to win the final Big Ten title. Wolverines can do no worse than draw.

The result of these two games is that Baylor returned to the second place in the general ranking, while Michigan fell to the third place. Each of these teams still has a cushion before they have to worry about falling more than that, and we are running out of games to make it happen.

A big game at Big East highlights Wednesday’s schedule, while Creighton plays at Villanova in a match of the top two teams in the league.

In addition, the conference tournament game begins at the A-10, Patriot and Ohio Valley conferences, including OVC champion Belmont facing SIU-Edwardsville.

Tuesday movement

At the bottom of the bracket, Boise State left the field after a Quad 4 home loss to Fresno State. The Broncos are now the first team to leave. This was their last game of the regular season, so they will have to wait for the Mountain West Tournament to have a chance to make up for it.

Duke is also gone for now. That is, Duke was not in the key, but among the first four teams eliminated. The Blue Devils are no longer there either after losing at Georgia Tech in overtime. Duke is now 11-10 in the season and did not have a good enough schedule to receive significant consideration in a game over 0.500.
