Bombing near Israeli ‘terrorism’ embassy in Delhi

Delhi police said the explosion was caused by an “improvised device of very low intensity” and damaged the windows of three cars parked nearby.

“Initial impressions suggest a mischievous attempt to create a sensation,” a police spokesman said in a statement.

Israel’s Foreign Ministry said no damage was done to the embassy building and that all Israeli diplomats and embassy officials are safe.

“The incident is being investigated by Indian authorities, who are in contact with the relevant Israeli authorities,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

“As of now, our strong assumption (is) that it is a terrorist attack. They were targeting the Israeli embassy,” said Israeli ambassador to India Ron Malka.

There is complete collaboration between the Indian authorities and the Israeli authorities. And from now on, our assumption, strong assumption, that it is a terrorist attack that targeted the Israeli embassy. Fortunately, as you mentioned, no one was hurt and all the diplomats and their families are doing well.
