Creek has been involved in improving the look of Bob’s Burgers since its debut in 2011.

The critically acclaimed series was created by Loren Bouchard and follows a family that ran a diner and served opulent and unconventional hamburgers.

In addition to his television work, Creek served as an adjunct professor with a focus on character design and animation at the California Institute of the Arts.

He graduated from the institution in 2005 with the title of Bachelor of Fine Arts.

Creek’s enthusiasm for skydiving was evident on his Instagram account, which featured several impressive photos of him in the air.

In an Instagram post in September, he shared a video recorded with his helmet as he circled to land while parachuting.

In his caption, he explained that he was tilting his cutie to give himself more speed for an extra thrill, rather than slowing his descent.

When he wasn’t animating, he also documented his interest in creating incredibly detailed miniature tree houses on tiny bonsai trees.

Wendy Molyneux, a writer for Bob’s Burgers, expressed her sadness over Creek’s death in a tweet on Thursday.

“If you love Bob’s Burgers, you loved Dave Creek,” she wrote. ‘He was an incredible, adventurous, funny and outgoing artist, and one of the most amazing and interesting people I have ever met. I often thought that Dave really knew how to live, and I would like him to live a little longer. Rest in peace, friend.

Bob’s Burgers supervising director Bernard Derriman also spoke about his fallen friend.

“We lost a great artist and a great friend at Bobs today – our main character designer Dave Creek. Here is one of his many projects, Lady Tinsel, and one of his incredible tree houses.

Derriman included a sketch of Creek, along with a close-up of the crooked treehouse.

‘A wonderfully brilliant and talented man who I can guarantee has projected his favorite character on Bob at some point. I will miss you, friend x. ‘

Austin Madison wrote about Creek from a different perspective.

“Many know his Bob’s Burgers’ work, but I know him as my crazy Himalayan roommate, Pogues lover and throat singer,” he tweeted. ‘Here is Dave’s Freshman CalArts film, animated entirely on charcoal. I challenge any animation student to do better. ‘
