Dave Creek – best known as a character designer for the popular FOX animated series “Bob’s Burgers” – died after a skydiving accident.
Dave died Thursday after suffering injuries in a skydiving accident last weekend … although at this point it is unclear exactly what his specific injuries were.
Tributes from his co-workers in Hollywood … including the director of “Bob’s Burgers” Simon Chong.
Today we tragically lost our main character designer and friend, Dave Creek. A wonderfully brilliant and talented man who I can guarantee has projected his favorite character on Bob at some point. I’ll miss you, friend x https://t.co/NOxEq1VOGw

Bernard Derriman, a supervising director of the program, also paid tribute to his longtime colleague and tweeted one of Dave’s sketches and posted photos of one of the tree houses Dave built around bonsai plants. The work is remarkable.

Dave’s other great passion was skydiving. His Instagram feed has many videos showing him jumping.
The last video he posted was on December 28th and he captioned “Steep little break-off at 5,000 ft”. It included the hashtags “adrenaline”, “happiness”, “meat missile” and “fun”.
CartoonBrew outlet first reported his death.
Waiting for your permission to upload Instagram media.
Dave has been credited with 79 episodes of “Bob’s Burgers” since the series launched in 2011. Some of his other animated credits include “Central Park”, “Brickleberry” and the movie “Happiness Is a Warm Blanket, Charlie Brown”.
He graduated from the California Institute of the Arts in 2005 and was also an adjunct professor there – teaching character animation and workshops.
Dave was 42 years old.
REST IN PEACE
