B&O Beoplay HX headphones offer ANC and 35 hours of battery life

Bang & Olufsen launched Beoplay HX, a new pair of wireless headphones that offers up to 35 hours of use with Bluetooth and Active Noise Canceling (ANC) enabled. The company says it can last up to 40 hours without ANC, if you want to extend the battery life and don’t mind letting in any noise. The model, which looks like a follow-up to the H9 headphones that has 25 hours of playback, features 40 mm drivers with neodymium magnets and four microphones to allow for clear call quality.

Headphones can quickly connect to devices of various brands through Google Fast Pair, Microsoft Swift Pair and Apple’s Made for iPhone. Pairs with devices via Bluetooth 5.1 and has multipoint connectivity, so you can keep it connected to two devices at the same time. The model has attached device buttons that you can use to switch ANC presets (you can also do this via the B&O app) and to activate voice assistant control. Your right headset also has a touch interface that you can use to play or pause and toggle the media sound on, to adjust the volume and to answer and end calls.

Like other Bang & Olufsen products, Beoplay HX was designed with luxury in mind. The model’s ear cushions are made of sheepskin with viscoelastic that adapts to the shape of your ear, while the upper part of the head is lined with bovine leather. Its arm sliders and discs are made of aluminum. This design and its long battery life come at a price: the model will cost € 499 or $ 590, which is $ 240 more than the retail price of Sony’s highly praised ANC WH-1000XM4 headphones. (That said, the XM4 offers only up to 30 hours of battery life.) The Black Anthracite version of the model is now available with a three-year global warranty, while the Sand and Timber versions will be available later.
