Carolina Hurricanes acquired a 2022 pick of the seventh round.

Pronman: Potential fans will remember Hofmann appearing periodically for the past 10 years, such as when he had a decent junior world championship in 2012 or strong appearances at world championships in recent years. Now 28, Hofmann is considered a solid NHL prospect by NHL scouts after having excelled in the Swiss league.
