Blizzard’s game launcher, Battle.net, is getting a major update, which should make browsing your library a little easier. Blizzard is testing the changes to Battle.net 2.0 on its beta server. The changes are now official and implemented for everyone.
There are five major changes designed to improve the daily use of the launcher, according to the press release:
1. Improved navigation and layout – you can now bookmark your games and organize them for easy access
2. A much wider layout for news and game content in full page view
3. A revamped social panel so you can see your friends better and what they are doing in each game guide
4. Major accessibility improvements – we added the ability to navigate most of the application with the keyboard, increased our support for the screen reader and improved color contrast
5. A new consolidated notification hub for messages and download status

Parts of North America will receive the patch first and then be used to test the launcher’s stability. If all goes well, more accounts will be updated in the coming weeks, including players from other regions.
Blizzard also says it plans to continue developing Battle.net, and this is “just the beginning of new features to come”. He continued: “We will continue to iterate, improve and add to the application over time”.
