Blizzard Announces BlizzConline Opening Ceremony, Panel Details

Blizzard announced new details for replacing this year’s BlizzCon, BlizzConline, on Monday, including information about the event’s opening ceremony and various programming channels.

The BlizzConline opening ceremony will begin on Friday, February 19, at 2pm PST / 5pm EST. Expect updates on Blizzard games, such as Diablo 4, Overwatch 2, and World of Warcraft. We can also see some new content for Heroes of the Storm and a new Hearthstone expansion, as well as some details about Diablo: Immortal.

After the opening ceremony, Blizzard will offer six programming channels. For “more than three hours,” Blizzard’s developers review their recent and past announcements with fans, sometimes answering questions from the public.

BlizzConline will return on Saturday, February 20, at noon PST / 3pm EST. The second day will feature more questions and answers from Blizzard developers and some competitions such as cosplay exhibitions.

Fans can watch BlizzConline on the BlizzCon website for free.

Instead of a virtual ticket to this year’s event, Blizzard launched a horde of Blizzard’s 30th anniversary treats on Monday. These packages feature Wow mounts, pets, Diablo 3 badges and wings, StarCraft two badges, Hearthstone card packs and more. Fans can now purchase these packages, although some items will not appear until the end of this month. Console players for Overwatch and Diablo 3 you will have a chance to purchase “a version of this package” soon.

Blizzard has not released a full BlizzConline lineup. The release of BlizzCon’s programming is always a fan-favorite day for speculation, as fans try to guess which games the studio might announce based on secret panels. Blizzard will reveal the schedule before BlizzConline, although it has not given a specific date.
