Blake Griffin looked excited on Monday talking about his decision to join the Nets, answering fan questions in an AMA with the Bleacher Report.
In response to the fans, the 12-year-old veteran praised the Nets organization, giving special recognition to Steve Nash’s job as head coach, stated that he joined Brooklyn “to help win a championship” and gave a hint about whether he’ll pick up lobs again in Brooklyn.

What is your goal for this year?
Griffin: “My only goal is to help win a championship. Some years are more realistic than others. But that’s why I came to Brooklyn. ”
Why did you choose Brooklyn over Los Angeles?
Griffin: “They need a 4-man. I’ve always had a lot of respect for Steve Nash and all the guys they have. Sean Marks did a great job there. It was a difficult decision and I wanted to be part of a team that was struggling. “
While Griffin said he sees himself as 4, several experts, including Adrian Wojnarowski, think his most likely role will be an off-center pivot.
What is your favorite player to face?
Griffin: “The best in my position – Giannis and AD. It’s always a challenge, so these guys are the most fun. ”
Was your friendship with DeAndre Jordan a big factor in getting to Brooklyn?
Griffin: “We are very old. Anyone you’re familiar with always makes it easy. This definitely played a role. ”
Jordan and Griffin played eight seasons with the Los Angeles Clippers during the “Lob City” era. Of course, Griffin has not yet buried this season, his athleticism is believed to have been undermined by a series of surgeries, including the most recent, an arthroscopic procedure on his distraught left knee in April 2019.
What is your most memorable dunk?
“The one at Kendrick Perkins. He was such a defensive player and always had a frown on his face, which makes him a little bit sweeter. “
