Brooklyn Nets’ newest member wasted no time opening up and answering questions after joining the contestants.

Blake Griffin joined the Bleacher Report for an AMA on Monday and discussed why he signed with Nets, his favorite players as he grew up, his most memorable dunk, some of his off-court work, his relationship with Chris Paul and more .

The following is the complete transcript of the AMA session.

Take down Double Cross with Blake Griffin. What can we expect from this show?

The show is a show of pranks where I call the beginning of a prank – a prank within a prank. You take someone who always plays with people and prepares them to make them believe that they are playing tricks on someone, when in reality we are asking someone else to do it. It really ended up really well.

@ BBBRAND02: Why did you choose Brooklyn?

They need four men. I’ve always had a lot of respect for Steve Nash and all the guys they have. Sean Marks did a great job there. It was a difficult decision and I wanted to be part of a team that fought.

@nbatruth: Was your friendship with DeAndre Jordan a big factor in getting to Brooklyn?

We came back. Anyone you’re familiar with always makes it easy. This definitely played a role.

@BR_Kicks: What is your favorite tennis of all time? And the first sneaker that you cared about growing up with?

Jordan 11. My first was black and white 11. Same shoe for both. I’ve been Jordan since my third year in the league. You feel part of this elite family. You’re kind of handpicked at Jordan. It is really a family environment. They take care of their guys.

@jtabula: What was your favorite moment playing at Clippers?

When all the confusion with Donald Sterling happened and we were playing Golden State, I think Game 5 was at home. When we came out of the tunnel, everyone wore black shirts. That moment was very special and we won that series. We didn’t know what we were going to do, but at the end of the day we never felt like we were going to play for this guy. We were not going to boycott the game. Going outside and not playing would disappoint all of our fans. We worked so hard to get to that point that we didn’t want to take that away from ourselves, but we wanted to take a stand and show unity in that decision.

@ BruMax17: Who was your favorite player growing up?

Michael Jordan. I was a big fan of Vince Carter and when I got a little older, LeBron, Kobe.

@BayLegend: What will you miss the most in Detroit?

People. I have a great relationship not only with the people in the organization, but also with the people of Michigan in general.

@NeverEVERwrong: How do you deal with critics? What is a good way to ignore them?

As I got older, it became easier. I can see something and if it is valid, it is valid. I also had to be critical of myself, I can’t just think that I am the best player ever. People will say something very strange, and I can discern between the two. The ones I don’t believe, don’t bother me. The ones I do, I’m already working.

@ maloas23: What is your favorite player to face?

The best in my position – Giannis, AD, is always a challenge, so these guys are the most fun.

@Not_JaMorant: What is the fan base like in LA?

They are some of the most loyal fans because it is a franchise without a championship. They were really great and I really enjoyed my time there.

@salsotelo: What was the most memorable dunk of your career?

The one at Kendrick Perkins. He was such a defensive minded player and always had a frown on his face, which makes him a little bit sweeter.

@lilspoonin: Are you considering joining Broadway?

I don’t know if I have time to plaster, but never say never. Cats is something I think I can achieve.

@b_turner: What are your top 5 comedians?

Dave Chapelle, Eddie Murphy, Richard Pryor, Bill Burr, Rock

@raidersletmedown: Why didn’t you jump in the middle of the car?

The next time you see a Kia Optima, just take a look at the car and get an idea of how tall it is. I should have skipped the whole thing and Baron Davis who was throwing the ball at me, I don’t know what I was thinking. People don’t love this dunk and I understand. I have to improve next time.

@ nathanmccook3: What is your favorite commercial that you participated in?

I was in a GameFly commercial. I had a jetpack. It was a stupid premise, but I try to do the jetpack and I’m hitting the wall having a conversation and it was a lot of fun to do.

@ Spursin9: 6-player Dunk Contest with players at their peak, who would you choose to participate in this contest?

Vince Carter, Michael Jordan, Aaron Gordon, Zach LaVine, Dominique Wilkins, Nate Robinson

@Elidwgg: Are you going to do a special stand up soon?

Not soon. A special is a lot of work. I do a charity event every year where I write 10 minutes worth, but when it comes to a special, I prefer to let the comedians take care of it.

@just_in_time: Do you have any suggestions or adjustments you would make for the Sinking Contest?

Let them all bury the same amount of times and add up the total scores. Do not make the rounds, because it limits competition. Fewer judges too. I don’t know who gave Cassius Stanley an 8, but they can’t be asked to come back. This dunk was crazy and he got 44.

@ mubarak2s: Are we going to see you catch lobsters now?

We’ll see…

@kdkyriexjordan: What are your goals for this year?

My only goal is to help win a championship. Some years are more realistic than others. But that’s why I came to Brooklyn.

@gloopmcscoop: How was Doc Rivers as a coach?

Doc is one of the best motivators of all time. There are times when he would make a great speech before the game. Once in Cleveland – when LeBron, Kyrie and Kevin Love were there. He focused on the fact that the only time you will be back here is if you reach the finals, and the whole thing was motivational. It’s one thing he does better than anyone – his ability to talk and motivate guys.

@WizColeLifa: Who’s in the Mount Rushmore OU players?

Wayman Tisdale, Alvin Adams, Hollis Price, Buddy Hield. I don’t put myself there because if you want to look at that big stone sculpture of yours, then you don’t deserve to be in a stone sculpture.

@jeremiahmccray: Did you want to spill water on the Warriors fan?

I didn’t know there was water in the glass. I thought the cup was empty. I was so upset. I didn’t want to get the guy wet.

@xonoah: Favorite T-shirt have you ever worn?

We had these baby blue and red old school uniforms with the Clippers. Not the blues with sleeves. I didn’t love the sleeves, but it wasn’t too bad.

@vstax: How is your relationship with CP3?

I have a lot of respect for him. When I went to the Pistons, we had a younger team, I remember saying things he said to us, so I really appreciate these years. I have a lot of respect for who he is as a player and for everything he has achieved.

What was your favorite backstage moment when filming that Blake and Drake video with Drake on ESPYs?

There’s a scene where I’m playing a trick on Drake and he’s sitting like a dentist’s chair. The doctor was supposed to be Chris Brown and that was after their fight. All the time, I see Chris Brown arriving on the set and I slowly come back in case this is an elaborate scheme to put them face to face.

Favorite time in Oklahoma?

We had a great race, playing with my brother, we lost to North Carolina at Elite 8. It was just a blast.

Favorite movie of all time?

Very bad
