BLACKPINK’s Rosé reaches the highest ranking as a female K-pop soloist in the Billboard Top 100 with “On The Ground”

BLACKPINK’s Rosé set a new record for Korean soloists!

Rosé made her solo debut on March 12 with her single “R” and her title track “On The Ground”.

Billboard has now announced that “On The Ground” reached 70th place on the Hot 100 chart in the week ending March 27. In 2016, CL became the first Korean soloist to qualify for the Hot 100 when “Lifted” took No. 94, and she was the only Korean soloist to qualify on the list to date.

The Hot 100 ranks the most popular songs in the United States across all genres based on streaming (official audio and official video), radio airplay and sales data.

Rosé has been on the Hot 100 with her BLACKPINK group several times – her highest rating so far is 13th for her collaboration on “Ice Cream” with Selena Gomez. BLACKPINK’s 40 entries in the Top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100 also included No. 33 for their group track “How You Like That”, as well as their collaboration “Sour Candy” with Lady Gaga.

Last week, Rosé became the first female K-pop soloist to land on the UK’s Official Singles Chart. Her solo debut success included breaking record sales of albums in the first week of a female K-pop soloist, most views on YouTube in the first 24 hours on a music video by a K-pop soloist, the highest number of streams reached in 24 hours for a song officially released by a K-pop soloist on Spotify and more.

Billboard charts for the week will be updated on their website on March 23.

Congratulations to Rosé!
