BLACKPINK’s new Rosé music video has garnered an incredible number of views in the first 24 hours of its release!
On March 12 at 2 pm KST, Rosé made her long-awaited solo debut with her first single album “R” and her accompanying title track “On The Ground”.
24 hours later, on March 13 at 2 pm KST, Rosé’s music video for “On The Ground” already had a total of 39,062,601 views on YouTube.
Although YouTube has yet to confirm the official 24-hour view count for the video clip, it appears that “On The Ground” may have set a new record for the highest number of views achieved by a video clip by a K-pop soloist in the first few 24 hours .
If YouTube confirms the number, Rosé will have broken the previous record of 36 million set by PSY’s 2013 hit “Gentleman”, which remained undefeated for 8 years.
Congratulations to Rosé!
