BLACKPINK’s Rosé tops the charts worldwide with her solo debut!
On March 12 at 2 pm KST, Rosé made her long-awaited solo debut with her first single album “R”, with the title track “On The Ground”.
“On The Ground” not only reached the top of several real-time music charts in Korea shortly after its release, but also reached number one on the iTunes charts in various countries around the world.
As of 10:41 KST on March 13, the song reached number one on the iTunes Top Songs charts in at least 51 different regions, including the United States, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Spain, France, Greece, Portugal, Turkey, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and more.
In addition, the video clip for “On The Ground” managed to accumulate over 36 million views in less than 21 hours – and even before its release, Rosé’s debut solo album, “R” set a new record for the biggest number of stock orders placed by any female soloist in Korea.
Rosé will present her new debut solo track “On The Ground” for the first time in the March 14 episode of “Inkigayo” by SBS. She will also debut the track on American television on NBC’s “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on March 16, local time.
