BLACKPINK Rosé Sets Record for K-Pop Solo Artist for 24 Hour Debut on Spotify

BLACKPINK’s Rosé has accumulated an impressive number of streams on Spotify with her debut solo album “R”!

On March 12 at 2 pm KST (midnight EST), Rosé released her first solo album “R.” The following day, YG Entertainment shared that Rosé’s title track, “On The Ground” debuted in 8th place on Spotify’s Global Top 50 daily ranking on March 12 (local time), with 3,262,615 streams in the first 24 hours since its launch. “Gone”, the album’s b-side track, reached 11th position with 2,945,783 streams. “On The Ground” now has the largest number of streams reached in 24 hours by a song officially released by a Korean solo artist on Spotify.

Meanwhile, “On The Ground” also reached number one on the iTunes music charts in at least 51 regions, and the music video for the song garnered over 39 million views just 24 hours after its debut.

Rosé’s solo debut stage will take place at “Inkigayo” on March 14 KST. Rosé will also perform “On The Ground” on the program “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon” on March 16 (local time).
