Blackbaud University offers customers a fully digital shopping experience for training registrations

CHARLESTON, SC, February 5, 2021 / PRNewswire / – Blackbaud (NASDAQ: BLKB), the world’s leading cloud software company in the development of social good, now offers customers the option to purchase Blackbaud Learn® online subscriptions via e-commerce for two of its main products, Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT® and Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT®.

Blackbaud University, the company’s customer education and product training services group, recorded record levels of course engagement during the first 10 months of the COVID-19 crisis. To make learning resources more easily accessible in a remote environment, Blackbaud has developed an e-commerce option for customers to sign up for subscriptions. Blackbaud customers can now purchase a subscription with a simple three-click ordering process that provides instant access to course material, anytime, anywhere.

“We want to provide customers with more control, making training materials available quickly and easily, even outside business hours,” he said. Michael Savitz, vice president and general manager, Educational Services, Blackbaud. “Customers who invest time in training at Blackbaud University see a material return in terms of skills and efficiency. Our goal is to make that return as achievable as possible.”

A survey of more than 500 customers who attended classes taught by instructors at Blackbaud University in 2020 reported that the courses saved an average of six hours of work per week because the skills they learned allowed them to navigate the tools more easily and gain more value than product. These clients also reported an average increase of 15% in funds raised for their organizations and 7% more donors withheld.

Natalie Fortunato, executive director of South Jersey Dream Center, said the Blackbaud University offers she took at the beginning of the pandemic helped to improve her entire organization. She was especially pleased with an Organizational Best Practices workshop that inspired her to reimagine the nonprofit’s case statement to solve poverty problems. “Our new case statement is a living document that helps us communicate the heart of our mission, back it up with data and share our future,” said Fortunato.
