Black Ops Cold War Zombies is having a week of free access, allowing all users to experience the undead massacre without spending any money.

If you’re a fan of Zombies, but buying Black Ops Cold War doesn’t appeal to you, you’re in luck. According to a new leak, the Cold War Zombies mode will be available to play soon.

This news comes after Treyarch released a new Zombie reveal for 115 days. Initially, we thought it would be more game content, as the new Frio Zombies Perk confirmed.

Now, we’re not so sure. Certainly, there should be more stuff in store for players on January 15th, but it’s not just existing fans who can try it out.

Free Cold War Zombie Week Black Ops

According to a new leak at Microsoft’s online store, Black Ops Cold War is becoming Free-to-Play for a week, starting on January 14th. This means that more players than ever will be able to download and play the Zombies mode, in its entirety.

It also means that if Treyarch has a surprise in store for us next week, players can take advantage of the new update, whether they are willing to open their wallets or not.

Some fans speculate that we will hear news about the next big map from Black Ops Cold War Zombies. However, as the new content is scheduled for February, we imagine that a teaser trailer may be the most we can hope for.

The new Cranked game mode will also be available during Zombies Free-to-Play week. However, those who have gained early access to the game mode report that there is not much to write about.

Notably, Black Ops Cold War once had a free multiplayer week and a significant sale, despite its launch just two months ago. While it is strange to see this in a Call of Duty title, it may be due to Activision’s strong implementation of cosmetic microtransactions.

According to new research, a new Cold War plan is making the war zone pay to win.
