New Armament

Wakizashi (available now)

A self-defense weapon and sword that accompanies the samurai’s katana, this traditionally forged blade uses two types of steel in its construction and is lightweight, resistant to force and durable to wear.

Compared to standard Knife, Wakizashi offers slightly better range in exchange for speed, which opens up new strategies for those who swear to bring knives for a shootout.

Like the Streetsweeper shotgun, Wakizashi can be unlocked through an in-game challenge, where it can then be increased to camos and XP. A Blueprint from the same weapon family is also available today in the new “Disavowed Assassin” package.

Operator Zeyna enters the fight on January 21

NATO gains another tough operator for its ranks, as Zeyna Ossou, last seen alongside Bulldozer and Russel Adler at The Pines mall to take Stitch down, will be available for deployment next week.

This specialist in Mobility and Heavy Weapons at DGSE, born in Senegal, has been a head of the engine for as long as she can remember. Growing up near her father’s garages, a rally driver, she jokes that gas is in her veins. Although she is a risk-taker and a little wildcard during infiltrations, Zeyna’s colleagues know that she is the one you want at the tip of the spear.

Get Zeyna to Black Ops Cold War and War zone as part of a Store Package during Season One.

Two multiplayer maps

Sanatorium (live now)

Ten squadrons of four will go to the Ural Plains to fight for objectives and vehicles on land, sea and air.

Here in the Urals is a Soviet experimental health retreat – the focus of a clandestine investigation by NATO forces in September 1984. Low wooded hills provide cover for squads to gain recognition for the main, roughly circular main “hotel”: concrete , brutalist architectural giant flanked by lakefront structures and a large wooden pier.

With links to secret tests within the State Sanatorium U-23, notes found within the grounds of this sprawling complex indicate a conditioning test known as the Golova Project.

Express (6v6) (February 4)

Returning from Call of duty black ops II, Express arrives on February 4 in Black Ops Cold War as one of the favorites of Multiplayer 6v6, known fondly as the high-tech train station that hosted many jaw-dropping moments in competitions Call of Duty story.

Express is a U-shaped map with two train tracks running in the main corridor of the transportation center. Players can expect a lot of hand-to-hand combat in the corridor, but they should note that its glass ceiling makes it susceptible to enemy Scorestreaks.

Long-range combat can take place across the train tracks, especially when looking out of overhead bridges on either side of the map. These areas are also great places to watch one of the high-speed trains run through the station on one of the tracks, where you will not hesitate to take out any Operator who does not care about the difference.

Multiplayer modes

Black Ops Cold War The multiplayer gets even more new game modes throughout the First Season, as well as the continuation of the accelerated 3v3 experience, Face Off.

Dropkick (live now)

This frantic game of nuclear hot potato features two teams, each competing for control of an extremely important suitcase. The round begins with each team running to the location of the nuclear briefcase and trying to catch it. Anyone who picks up the briefcase is automatically equipped with a powerful pistol, but ideally the rest of the team should keep the briefcase safe. The team with the case gets access to launch codes, as well as an increasing score for their team.

If you die while your team controls the folder, you will not reappear until your carrier has been eliminated and the folder has been dropped. If your team is not carrying the box, it must be emptied and recovered before it is too late. When a team reaches the score limit by controlling and possessing the briefcase, orders to execute a nuclear attack are confirmed and the round is won … in a highly explosive manner! The first team to score 200 wins.

Snipers Only Moshpit (in season)

Get ready, snipers. Later in the first season, Treyarch is bringing the new Snipers Only Moshpit mode to Black Ops Cold War, where two teams of six will drop in Team Deathmatch and Domination with all restricted weapons except sniper rifles. Lethal and tactical gear, as well as Scorestreak weapons (such as the War Machine), will also be restricted to a sniper-only experience.

Resistance mode (in season)

Following this season’s Duos tactical variation, Black Ops Cold War The biggest game mode is about to take the 10 team experience to a whole new level.

In the next Endurance variant, 10 squadrons of four will go to Alpine, Ruka and Sanatorium to collect uranium and armed bombs during the match. However, after detonating a bomb, a new one will go online to take its place, ensuring that there will always be five bombs available, instead of an initial set of five that is reduced to a single bomb. This introduces a new layer of strategy and nonstop action to these already intense 40-player battlefields.

The score limit will also be doubled from 500 to 1,000 in Endurance mode, making it perfect for completing MP challenges. Join your team and experience the most elaborate maps in the game in a whole new way.

3v3 Face Off continues

This small team accelerated mode is here to stay in season one and is ready for your trio to claim dominance in respawn modes on four frantic maps across Black Ops Cold War.

If you haven’t tried Face Off yet, this playlist features 3v3 Team Deathmatch, Kill Confirmed and Domination game modes on Gunfight’s latest maps: Game Show, ICBM, U-Bahn and KGB.

Great for accumulating weapon camouflage challenges or a quick warm-up before diving into bigger modes, Face Off will be introduced throughout the first season’s continuation beyond this week.
