Treyarch introduced the First Season of the Cold War Black Ops a few weeks ago. It was the best thing that has happened to the game since its launch, so players want more. It turns out that they won’t have to ask themselves what’s to come with the next big update, all thanks to YouTuber TheGamingRevolution.
YouTuber recently unveiled all new content that will arrive at Black Ops Cold War in the second season. His efforts also included an approximate release date for the next season. Logically, Treyarch would launch a new season as soon as the current one ends.
In Call of Duty games, seasons often follow the battle. With the current one ending in the next 44 days, this puts the approximate release date for the second season around February 24th. Putting the release date back, it’s time to look at all the new content prepared for players.
New maps, zombie DLC and more weapons in the second season of the Cold War Black Ops
Starting with new maps, in previous leaks, Treyarch included some map files in the game and did not release them during the first season. Therefore, there is a great possibility that they will come into play next season. Of the maps that were part of the leaks, two are multiplayer maps similar to other Call of Duty games.
The first map is similar to the Black Ops I jungle map. It takes place in the Vietnam War, probably in Laos. The map also appears in a photograph on the multiplayer map of Pines which strengthens its existence in the game. The second map is probably a version of the Highrise Call of Duty map. Both maps will have 6v6 gameplay.
In addition to the 6v6 maps, there will also be a new Fireteam map based on a desert theme called Dunes. This comes after a big addition to Fireteam in the mid-season update. Treyarch has a lot of things planned for the Fireteam mode and it looks like the mode will be the highlight of the Cold War Black Ops alongside Zombies and the Campaign.
Last but not least, the first Zombies DLC also arrives next season. It will present the map of Vietnam, which the first of the four DLC maps showed earlier as part of a Zombies Easter Egg.
According to previous reports, Season 2 will also introduce the Dragunov sniper rifle into the game. In addition, there may be a new LMG, the Galil AR, the Skorpion SMG and the CZ-75 pistol. In addition, Zombies mode can also obtain the Phallot Tactical rifle not available in MP mode.
It looks like the season update will be massive. Therefore, Black Ops Cold War fans have a lot to look forward to in the next 70 days. To sweeten the deal, it is possible that the season will arrive earlier, as something similar happened with the first season of Modern Warfare.
