Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War multiplayer is adding a long-awaited feature that players on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC have been asking since launch. More specifically, the Treyarch community manager on Reddit confirmed that Ranked Game is coming to the game, however, at the moment, the community manager does not have a schedule to share. And now, there are no details on how it will be implemented and what it means for the game’s multiplayer mode.
For example, it is unclear whether casual playlists will continue to use skill-based matchmaking, also known as SBMM. A classified mode and a casual mode using SBMM are more or less the same, so if the classified mode is added, you would assume that the SBMM will be removed, or at least reduced, in casual playlists. However, for now, this is just speculation.
Unfortunately, although Treyarch has confirmed that the feature is in development, there is no news as to when it will be implemented or when more details will be shared.
It is also not clear why Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War it was not provided with a classified mode and it is also not clear why it has not yet been added. There has been a lot of demand since the launch, but we are two months removed from the launch and has not yet been added.
In addition to a classified mode, it also appears Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is getting ready to add one of Modern Warfare’s most controversial weapons. Also, there’s not much going on with the game right now, however, tomorrow, when the mid-season update goes live, that should change.
The first season gets even bigger tomorrow with brand new content:
• New MP map: Sanatorium
• New MP mode: Dropkick
• New zombie mode: triggered
• New map of Zombies Onslaught + intel: Raid
• New weapon: Wakizashi sword
• 24/7 sanatorium
• #Zombies Free Access Week
