Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is gaining a new advantage in Zombies mode soon. This privilege is called “Tombstone Soda”, which will really be new to Black Ops Cold War and it should also be a household name for those who played Black Ops II. The privilege is coming back in this game, but like some of the other Zombie features that have been brought back, it has been updated to have a few different effects compared to what players are used to.

Treyarch Studios confirmed the arrival of the privilege as part of this week’s 115-day celebrations. Tombstone Soda will be added on February 4, said Treyarch, a new advantage that players could have acquired if they were paying attention to previous teasers.

As mentioned earlier, this benefit will not have the same effects as your previous iteration of Black Ops II. Instead, this privilege will allow players to enter a shadow form and a kind of redemption period where they will have another chance to revive.

“Unlike his first incarnation in Black Ops II, the new and improved Tombstone Soda will now transform the player into a shadow within the Dark Aether after being knocked down, ”said Treyarch Studios. “In this form of shadow, you will be equipped with weapons to help you have a chance to fight to revive yourself. However, if your health is reduced to zero while in shadow form, you are dead.

As other advantages, players can invest Aetherium Crystals in their purchase to improve the Tombstone Soda even more after they have already purchased it. The effects of these updates can be found listed below:

Tombstone Soda Updates

  • Level I – the shadow form can regenerate health.
  • Level II – increases the duration of the reduction to 60 seconds.
  • Level III – When dying, drop a Tombstone stock that saves your weapons, equipment and resources.

This new privilege will be found naturally on the Die Maschine map through the Der Wunderfizz machine, but you can also obtain it on the new map that is coming. This map is called “Firebase Z” and was announced shortly before the new benefit. It is the first post-launch map of its kind to be added to Zombies and will arrive on February 4, as will Tombstone Soda.
