Before starting the actual Easter egg steps, it is important to note that you must perform some basic tasks first. As usual, the power and the Pack-a-Punch must be linked and the Wonder Weapon must be collected. You can get all of these details in our RAI K-84 and Pack-a-Punch guide if you need them.

Black Ops Cold War Easter Egg Steps of Firebase Z

  1. When the power, Pack-a-Punch and RAI K-84 are ready, speak to Ravanov in the Atrium area. He will send you to speak to Dr. Peck, who is located behind the large window in the Mission Control area. Peck sends him back to Ravanov, who finally hands him Ravanov’s badge item.
  2. The card is used to open three cabinets. To get the first one, enter the Patio and go to the Equipment Storage area. It is right in front of Ravanov. You will find Compound S16 inside the cabinet with the keyboard.
  3. To get to the next locker, go from the Military Command Control Room to the Colonel’s Office. You will see another cabinet next to the table. This one has Compound P65.
  4. The third cabinet is inside a building in the Engineering section. Compound 36 is inside.
  5. From the Barracks, go to the Hospital de Campo. Use the Agent Delivery System machine next to the small computer to mix the chemicals you have collected.
  6. As soon as the machine starts to spin, several enemies will appear. Kill them, go back to the machine, and you can pick it up and take it with you.
  7. Bring it to the rooftop AC unit in the OPC area You will know you are in the right place when you have the option to “attach the Agent Delivery System”.
  8. Go back to Dr. Peck and interact with him.
  9. Go to the Data Center and interact with the machine against the wall that has a screen with a brain being displayed. Eventually Peck will speak and you will have the option to unlock the Memory Transfer Station. This provides access to four Essence Traps.
  10. These Essence Traps work like Pokéballs on Pokémon. Your objective is to find three Mimic Zombies in specific locations, decrease their health and trap them inside. Mimes arise from objects. So, to search for the zombie you’re looking for, you need to find areas with many small objects on the floor – but only one of them generates a zombie. When that happens, you will know that a zombie is the one you need to kill. So far, players have had more luck finding Mimics at Peck’s Quarters in the Village, at the Barracks Motor Pool and at Coronel’s Office at the Military Command. There are more possible locations than these, however. Your goal is to capture a lone impersonator, return the trap to the machine and wait for you to get a quote from Sokolov, Brahms or Zabim. Do this three times and you’re done. If the memory is corrupted, you can try as many times as you like.
  11. Once the three correct simulators are found, a floppy will appear outside the memory machine. Take it. Travel from the OPC to the planning offices and play it on the Quantum Main Frame machine with the brain in it.
  12. Go back to the OPC and you will see that a new portal area has been opened. After seeing, talk to Peck. You will receive a code that opens the cabinet next to it. When you open it, the Aethermeter will fall to the floor.
  13. The next step is to find three Aether containers on the map that can be made in any order. To dig them up, pick up the shovel found inside the hut in the Burnt Defense area.
  14. Our first container is found in the Jungle Defense area, where you will find lots of dirt around. Use the beep signal to find the digging site. The faster you stay, the closer you are to the location. After digging it up, fight through the blocking period that begins. Take the Aether container when it is safe to do so.
  15. The next container is in the corner of the Open Lot area next to the OPC. You can once again use soundtracks to find it. A lot of containers will appear. You need to find the one that has no black smoke inside. Once you find it, it is with it that you must interact to collect it.
  16. For the last Aether Container, go to the Barracks area by the stairs that connect to the Data Center. After digging, the Container will warp to different places if you get too close to it. To prevent this from happening, shoot with the RAI K-84’s alternate grenade fire mode. It will only stand still while the grenade is active.
  17. Go to the three Aether Reactors you used to turn on the power and place the containers there. They are found in the Data Center, Mission Control and Military Command.
  18. Navigate to OPC, then to Peck and you will find that it is no longer accessible. Go to the planning offices and use the computer there. On the screen, you will see a galactic map that can be controlled by the directional pad. Scroll through all the bright spots (including the earth below) until you find one that displays a “?”. Interact when you find the right place.
  19. When everything is finished, go back to the OPC and interact with the terminals on the right. This triggers the fight against the boss, so make sure you are prepared.

Firebase Z Boss Fight

Orda is your main target, but kill the threats around them first. Wait for your team to tell you the exact time to do the damage, then discharge with everything you have until Orda’s health runs out. Fortunately, perks and Pack-a-Punch in the surrounding area should give you the extra firepower you need.
