South Carolina woman and Black Lives supporter Matter Ariel Robinson, who was accused of beating a 3-year-old girl to death, appears to have tweeted about the privilege of her White children before the alleged crime took place.

In a Twitter thread posted on Jan. 6, Robinson noted that while his black and white children were treated the same at home, “it won’t be the case” when they go out into the real world.
“I will never have to worry about my white children and that makes me happy,” said Robinson. “What makes me sad is that all the concerns I don’t have for them will be multiplied by my black children. Until that is corrected, we are NOT the USA that we can be. Justice, justice and equality for all! #BlackLivesMatter”

Police responded last month to a home in Simpsonville, SC, after receiving a call about an indifferent child who was pronounced dead after being taken to the hospital, according to FOX Carolina. The child was identified by the Greenville County coroner’s office as Victoria Rose Smith, 3, and she died from blunt injuries, according to a medical examination.
Robinson, a 29-year-old former teacher and winner of the Food Network’s “Worst Cooks of America” award, and her husband, Jerry Robinson, 34, were charged on January 19 with child abuse homicide in connection with the incident. Homicide for child abuse carries a penalty of 20 years in prison.
An investigation into the child’s death remains ongoing.
Robinson’s educational certificate was suspended by the South Carolina State Board of Education.
“SCDE has reason to believe that, due to the seriousness of these allegations of misconduct, Ms. Robinson may pose a threat to the health, safety and well-being of students, who may be under her instructions and that an emergency action is needed, “says the statement signed by President Kristi Woodall.
“After considering the evidence presented by SCDE, the president of the State Council considers that Mrs. Robinson’s certificate of educator will be summarily suspended until a due process hearing is held and / or this matter is resolved in another way,” he continues the statement. “SCDE is instructed to notify Ms. Robinson of the summary suspension, as well as the possible suspension or revocation of her certificate of education.”
Meanwhile, according to a Deadline report, episodes from Robinson’s season of “America’s Worst Cooks” are no longer available to stream on Food Network’s online platforms, including Discovery +, Hulu and YouTube. Robinson received $ 25,000 after winning the competition, which pits amateur cooks against each other in a series of culinary challenges overseen by famous chefs.
