Black Hawks Vision of American History

This post was contributed by a member of the community.

Imagine sitting around a campfire with Black Hawk, chief of war and leader of the Sauk tribe, listening to the creation stories and legends of your grandparents. The public is drawn along the path in time to find Black Hawk’s Band on the eve of the battle. Weaving the true story with folklore to create a tapestry by the narrator and historian of symbolic language Brian “Fox” Ellis attracts audiences to the world of Black Hawk with traditional chants and drum sounds to celebrate the First Nations of this land and begin to see the world through Native eyes.

The event is free and will include questions and answers from the public.
