Former UFC star Paige VanZant wore his MMA gloves for a boxing debut last night (Friday, February 5, 2021) at BKFC 16: “KnuckleMania” live on RP Funding Center’s FITE.tv PPV in Lakeland, Florida. Unfortunately for “12 Gauge”, she had to face Britain Hart in the main event via decision.
There was a long period of intuition as VanZant moved his pocket and tried to reach out. The more Hart was able to score with a main jab and scored the ex-UFC fighter with a flurry of punches at the end of the first. VanZant responded with a beautiful left hook in the second, before Hart hit more shots in the last second.
VanZant tried to regain control in the later rounds, but Hart’s length and distance were too difficult for “Caliber 12” to overcome. Each time she came in closer, she was marked with shots. Every time VanZant tried to grab Hart, she swallowed a ton of punches in the body. VanZant did a good job in the fifth round to steal some points back, but Hart had done enough.
