Ohio Teachers Pension Fund bought GM, Alibaba and sold Tesla, Apple in the third quarter

What happened: According to Barron’s, the pension sold 864,478 Apple shares in the third quarter (after a 4-by-1 split in August), which reduced its total to 9.8 million. The public pension fund is one of the largest in the United States, with $ 80.9 billion in managed assets. The financial news medium ranks Apple among its top 10 stocks in 2021, due to high expectations for sales of 5G phones, while booking skepticism about the company reported plans for electric vehicles. STRS Ohio also reduced its holdings in Tesla shares to 316,583 after the sale of 41,987 shares (also after a 5-by-1 split in August).
