The leading digital asset bitcoin was mentioned on the action drama television show “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier”. The bitcoin reference was captured by a Redditor while he was watching the most recent episode. It is not the first time that bitcoin is mentioned on television and it certainly will not be the last.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and the 1K Bitcoin Bounty
On Friday, a member of the Reddit r / bitcoin forum posted a screenshot of a message on the TV show “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier”. The show derives from the Marvel Cinematic Universe and is broadcast on the Disney + platform. The image that Redditor shared was for a BTC reward and said, “Selby dead. K1K BOUNTY for your killers. “
Bitcoin.com readers can check the reference in episode three, nicknamed “Power Broker”. At the time of publication, a 1,000 BTC reward would be about $ 60 million.
Redditor said it thought it was cool, but it was a lot cooler when BTC was mentioned on TV years ago. He said:
I was watching the most recent episode of ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’ on Disney +. I observed this text message within the TV program. I thought it was cool, I thought about sharing it. You see, this was much nicer as [five] years ago when I entered the bitcoin space, but it is still good to see that we are advancing on cultural touchstones.

Of course, many bitcoiners know that BTC has been mentioned on TV many times in the past. Recently, the television program “Shameless” referred to bitcoin (BTC) and ethereum (ETH). The first mention of BTC on TV was in the episode of “The Good Wife” in 2012 and Krusty, the clown in “The Simpsons” mentioned BTC the following year. On December 12, 2013, the late Alex Trebek used the digital asset in season 30 of Jeopardy.
Trebek stated:

Of course, the question was “What is bitcoin”, and the digital asset continued to be mentioned on popular television programs.
