People who decide to upgrade to Mass Effect Legendary Edition on PCs you may not have to say goodbye to your favorite mods. It turns out that BioWare is apparently already considering how to deal with this. Project Director Mac Walters said on Twitter that the team “has been in touch with some members of the modding community” when it comes to mod support. When the game comes out in May, people should have a better idea of what to expect.
This came about when someone tagged Walters in a conversation discussing Mass Effect Legendary Edition mod support. Walters appeared to explain how BioWare is handling disclosure and future support.

We contacted some members of the modding community to learn how to a) update everyone on the changes that will impact existing mods, and b) prepare the modding community for success going forward. It is in progress and we will discuss it in more detail until launch.

Sites like Nexus Mods have several lists of entries in the series. In particular, the search results for “Mass Effect” on Nexus Mods show Mass Effect 3 has more than 600 files available, which have been downloaded more than seven million times. Some of the more popular mods offered an Expanded Galaxy, extra hair styles and a different ending.
Mass Effect Legendary Edition will arrive on PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and PC on May 14, 2021. It will also be playable on PS5 and Xbox Series X.
