As you may have seen, it was previously reported that the next video game Biomutant of THQ Nordic would be released before the end of the publisher’s fiscal year. If that were true, it would mean that the long-term title would be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC before March 31 this year. However, it appears that this is not the case, as an update of the original report through clarification from the editor indicated that it will be released during the next financial year, which begins in April.
All of this goes back to last year’s annual report on the title launch this fiscal year, as well as a recent interview by GamesIndustry.biz with THQ Nordic CEO Klemens Kreuzer. Kreuzer apparently initially stated that Biomutant would be launching this quarter, which apparently is not the case.
For the record: This article previously stated that Biomutant should be released in the first quarter of 2021. THQ Nordic contacted and clarified that the game is scheduled for its next financial year, which starts in April. https://t.co/43ETgXOhgC

The video game, if you are unfamiliar, is described as “a post-apocalyptic fabled Kung-Fu open world RPG with a unique martial arts combat system, allowing you to mix melee, shooting and skill action mutant. ” It was first announced in 2017, with several trailers and looks since. Although originally scheduled for release in 2018, it has been delayed several times.
Biomutant is expected to be released in 2021 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. You can check out all of our previous coverage of the next video game here.
