’25 March 2021. Celebrating the two loves of my life. Happy first wedding anniversary for my dear husband and birth day for our beautiful daughter, ‘wrote Bindi.

‘Our gracious warrior is the most beautiful light. Grace was named after my great-grandmother and relatives of the Chandler family dating from 1700 ‘, she continued.

‘Their middle names, Warrior Irwin, are a tribute to my father and his legacy as the most incredible warrior in the wild. Her surname is Powell and she already has a soul as good as her father.

'There are no words to describe the infinite amount of love in our hearts for our sweet girl,' wrote Bindi, after sharing an image of the boy's face

Steve, known to millions around the world as ‘the crocodile hunter’, was filming a documentary when he was fatally stabbed in the heart by a stingray splinter on September 4, 2006 in Batt Reef, Queensland. He was 44 years old.

In an interview with the late Larry King in 2018, Bindi admitted he has no hard feelings about the stingrays, even though the creatures are responsible for his father’s death.

‘I don’t, honestly not … It was just a crazy accident that happened,’ she said at the time.

‘Stingrays are really beautiful animals. Daddy loved them, we love them and they are important to our environment. And I know that Daddy would be the first person to say ‘I love stingrays’. ‘

Bindi met Chandler in 2013, when the ex-American wakeboarder took a guided tour of Australia Zoo in Queensland.

After their casual encounter, Chandler wrote to Terri to ask for his permission to contact Bindi before embarking on a long-distance relationship.

He ended up moving from his Florida home to Australia and now works at the family zoo.
