Billie Lourd says son Kingston is not a ‘quarantined baby’ and reveals Carrie Fisher’s favorite book

Star Wars stunner Billie Lourd discussed motherhood, her favorite book written by her late mother Carrie Fisher, and more in an interview on Radio Andy that aired in full this Friday at 1 pm EST.

The new 28-year-old mother was questioned by none other than her stepfather Bruce Bozzi, who married CAA co-chairman Bryan Lourd in 2016 when she was 14.

Billie surprised everyone on September 24 by announcing the birth of her son Kingston Fisher three months after announcing her engagement to fiance Austen Rydell.

“He’s not technically a quarantined baby,” said Lourd on SiriusXM Quarantined with Bruce.

“And I want to make that known because a lot of people are having modern babies in quarantine. Kingston was conceived before the quarantine. So, he is technically just a Caribbean baby.

The Los Angeles native called the coronavirus pandemic a “blessing in disguise” because she managed to keep the news to herself.

“Only my family knew and nobody else knew, as if everyone was surprised when we posted that little picture of his feet,” Billie told the vice president of the 54-year-old Palm Restaurant Group.

‘It must be something that I shared with the people I loved the most, which was amazing and made my pregnancy so magical and wonderful, which I didn’t expect it to be, but it ended up being the best experience I have to eat good food, hanging out with the people I love, making Legos all the time. I took a HypnoBirthing course and just loved being pregnant. ‘

In 2016, Lourd started dating the 28-year-old Moon Brothers musician – whose grandfather is the director of On Golden Pond, Mark Rydell – but parenting brought them even closer together.

‘He was so loving and amazing and he cooked for me and gave me foot massages. AND [he] took these classes with me, ‘said Joe Biden’s supporter.

‘He took the lactation class, he took the positive delivery class. So he was with me every step of the way. And we became even closer friends, even better partners. And I think it has prepared us to be the best parents and he is sitting there with the baby right now. And he is, as you know, the best dad in the world. And I think it’s partly because we have to have this experience together. ‘

Billie also revealed her three main books written by her late mother – Surrender the Pink (about her marriage to Paul Simon), Postcards from the Edge and Delusions of Grandma.

“It is so incredible and it is structured with letters for me while she is pregnant with me”, Lourd marveled at the 1994 book.

‘I have to reread it now that I had a baby, I think it would be a totally different and so incredible experience. But I should be called Esme, which thank God I was not, I’m sorry for those called Esme. It’s a beautiful name, but I prefer Billie. It’s super, super sweet and great. ‘

Unfortunately, Fisher passed away at the age of 60 in 2016 from sleep apnea / drugs and the next day his famous grandmother Debbie Reynolds died, at the age of 84, of a stroke.

The NYU graduate inherited her $ 18 million Beverly Hills compound and her mother and grandmother share a crypt at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hollywood Hills.

Billie said she ‘hopes to work again soon’ with Olivia Wilde, who directed her as the teenage drug-addicted Gigi in the 2019 hit independent comedy Booksmart.

‘I am so proud of Olivia and so excited for Olivia. She is amazing. I mean, she stayed up until 7 in the morning with us, she liked to dance, play music, as if she were, her energy level was the same as everyone else’s, which is, ‘said Lourd.
