Billie Lourd misses her mother Carrie Fisher on the four-year anniversary of her death.

The 28-year-old American Horror Story paid tribute to the Star Wars legend on Sunday while sharing a photo of the couple from the past.

By sending ‘love and strength’ to anyone who has lost a loved one, the third generation Hollywood star reflected on her sadness this year.

Lourd wrote: ‘Sending my love and strength to everyone who is losing a loved one who has lost. Especially those of you who lost someone during this crazy year. You are not alone.’

In the photo, a much younger Billie and the Star Wars actress were seen walking in London while Fisher was carrying a Coke in his hand.

Also paying tribute to Carrie’s legacy was actress Selma Blair, writing: ‘I will never forget you Carrie. I love you.’

Billie went through an especially difficult situation this year, after receiving her first child into the world, Kingston Fisher, with her fiance Austen Rydell.

Fisher died on December 27, 2016, just days after suffering cardiac arrest on a flight from London to Los Angeles at the age of 60.

Despite being in a stable state after the incident, she died of ‘sleep apnea and other undetermined factors’, according to coroners who also found several drugs in her system, including heroin and cocaine.

Lourd was open about her mother’s addiction when she said she ‘struggled with drug addiction and mental illnesses her whole life’, something Billie saus ‘ended up dying of’.

‘I know my mother, she would like her death to encourage people to be open about their struggles. Seek help, fight for government funding for mental health programs. Shame and these social stigmas are enemies of progress towards solutions and, ultimately, healing. I love you, Mom, ”she said.

Tragically, Lourd’s grandmother and Fisher’s mother, Debbie Reynolds, died a day after a stroke.

Lourd credited his role in American Horror Story Cult for saving his life.

‘When Ryan (Murphy) offered me Cult, it was just a few months after my mom passed away, and it honestly helped me process all of my emotions through these characters,’ she told ET.

‘Being able to cry for Winter helped me to cry for myself. And it’s been really healing and cathartic in an incredible way, ‘as she said,’ Honestly, it kind of saved my life. ‘

Since then, the actress starred in Olivia Wilde’s comedy, Booksmart, and became engaged and started a family.

She and Rydell have been in and out for years, as their relationship dates back to 2015, although they only officially appeared to resume in 2017 after she and Taylor Lautner from Twilight broke up.

The couple became engaged in June and welcomed their son into the world in late September, after keeping the pregnancy entirely secret.

She is now combining the properties of her late mother and grandmother in Beverly Hills (they lived side by side) in a huge $ 18 million mansion after Kingston was born.
