Belichick’s girlfriend responds to IG’s comment about Tom Brady that originally appeared on NBC Sports Boston
There will always be a debate about Tom Brady vs. Bill Belichick when it comes to which the great New England Patriots was most responsible for the organization’s 20-year dynasty.
This NFL season, Brady made it difficult to argue against him. The 43-year-old defender will compete in his 14th conference game on Sunday when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers face the Green Bay Packers. Belichick will be watching from home after a disappointing campaign in which the Patriots ended 7-9 with Cam Newton in the center.
Curran: Watson for the Patriots? How does it work?
Although we probably haven’t heard from Belichick on the subject, we now know what his girlfriend Linda Holliday thinks about the situation. An Instagram user commented on Holliday’s photo, “Too bad Bill let Tom go!” and she didn’t like that observation very much.
“And do you have all the answers, of course? Tom didn’t score last night … not once! The defense won that game. Were you really watching? OTOH- I’m happy for Tom’s career! Why can’t you be? ” she wrote.
Bill Belichick’s longtime girlfriend Linda Holliday made this comment on IG when a fan correctly said Belichick was driving @TomBrady far.
It seems that there is some unhappiness there.
She’s also wrong, Brady had 3 TDs, 0 vs INTs #Saints and had almost 400 yards vs #WFT a week before pic.twitter.com/X8HtfOjbnO

The Buccaneers’ defense was huge in the Divisional Round win over the New Orleans Saints, but Brady actually scored three times in the win. Still, Holliday made his thoughts on Belichick’s legacy very clear.
Brady will try to reach the Super Bowl for the tenth time in his career when he faces the Packers on Sunday. Tampa vs. Kickoff Green Bay is set for 3:05 pm (Eastern Time).
