Biden prepares a review of Trump’s deportations of military veterans and their families

President Joe Biden’s mammoth task of undoing Donald Trump’s hard-line immigration policies will continue with a review of the deportations of veterans and military family members that have taken place in the past four years, according to McClatchy. White House Assistant Press Secretary Vedant Patel said in a statement to the news agency: “Government immigration oversight will focus on those who are threats to national and public security, not military, military or veteran families. together with the Department of Homeland Security, it will carry out a more in-depth analysis of the removals of veterans and their families. A 2019 Government Accountability Office report found that up to 250 veterans were in the process of being deported, but there is no public record of how many veterans or dependents were removed by the Trump administration. According to McClatchy, soldiers or immigrant veterinarians were denied naturalization requests at a higher rate than non-military civilians during Trump’s years.
