President biden he said that when he was younger he did not dream of being president, but of playing for the NFL. CBS Evening News anchor and editor-in-chief Norah O’Donnell spoke to Biden in the first interview he gave since his Opening.
“I had crazy dreams,” said Biden. “I wasn’t supposed to be president. I thought I could be a flanker in the NFL.”
Mr. Biden played receiver at the high school in Delaware. His coach, E. John Walsh, told The New York Times in 2008 that Biden was “one of the best pass recipients I have had in 16 years as a coach”. He also played freshman football at the University of Delaware.
O’Donnell asked him that, as a former recipient, which of the The stars of Sunday’s quarterback he preferred to play with: the 43-year-old NFL legend Tom Brady or the 25-year-old MVP Patrick Mahomes?
“Obviously, Brady is a great defender,” said Biden. “It seems that Mahomes has a lot of potential. And then, he would probably try the young guy he didn’t expect so much from.”
“Are you thinking that Kansas City bosses can win?” O’Donnell asked.
“Well, I didn’t say that,” said Biden. “I don’t know who will win. I think they are both great defenders. One is just a younger version, potentially, of a great old defender. Not old. In terms of the NFL.”
