Beyoncé debuts new footage to debut in the new year: TheGrio

2020 was a difficult year for millions across the country.

However, music superstar Beyonce made the most of it. The music superstar posted a video message to her fans on New Year’s Day, encouraging them to have a happy new year and showcasing all their achievements in the past 12 months.

The video is a multimedia mix of video clips, films and spontaneous images of her and her children, Blue Ivy and the rarely seen Gemini, Sir and Rumi. More than just self-celebration, the four-minute montage also features defending voting clips and acts of service during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The video starts with her playing in 2020, a year ago, in a New Year celebration, with the caption: “Cheers for 2020”. Includes references to the Grammy winner’s milestones 24 times, including appearances at the Golden Globe Awards and Ivy Park releases through her collaboration with Adidas. There are also clips from his Disney + movie Black is king and their number one collaboration on Billboard with Stallion Megan Thee on his remix of “Savage”.

Even with a year full of acute professionals, Beyoncé also included her acts of service. This includes initiatives for testing COVID-19, promoting early voting in the 2020 election, subsidies for black-owned companies, advocating police reform after the deaths of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor, and winning the Humanitarian Award at the 2020 BET Awards.
