Beverly Hills Surgeon Rescues ‘Gorilla Glue’ Hair Disaster – NBC Los Angeles

A Louisiana woman who went viral online for using Gorilla Glue on her hair after the hair spray ran out, traveled to Beverly Hills to get help from a plastic surgeon on Wednesday.

The doctor offered to help after watching a video of the painful situation in the Louisiana woman. Tessica Brown arrived in Los Angeles on Wednesday morning on her way to the office of plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Obeng in Beverly Hills.

He offered to help after seeing a video that Brown posted on TikTok, confessing that when she ran out of her usual hair product, she used the Gorilla Glue spray adhesive, and her hair didn’t move for a month.

Brown has documented his agony online. She made a trip to the emergency room, but that didn’t help. Nor the help of a friend who cut his ponytail.

A GoFundMe page raised more than $ 18,000.

In an interview with TMZ, Brown said he is still in terrible pain.

“The headaches got worse, the tingling got worse. We couldn’t think of anything else to do, so I went to social media with that, ”she said.

His videos prompted Dr. Obeng to offer help. He is originally from Ghana. He runs a charity that offers free medical services and has experience with burn victims.

The surveillance video shows Elisa Lam acting bizarrely inside an elevator in a hotel in downtown Los Angeles, just before the 21-year-old disappeared in 2013. Gordon Tokumatsu reported from Cecil Hotel to NBC4 News at 5 pm February 14, 2013.

“The goal is to be able to dissolve the glue and not burn the scalp,” said Obeng.

Gorilla Glue tweeted a statement saying: “This is a unique situation because this product is not suitable for use on or on hair, as it is considered permanent. Our spray sticker says on the warning label ‘Don’t swallow. Do not put on eyes, skin or clothing. ‘”

Late in the afternoon, Dr. Obeng said, after working at Brown for more than an hour, the procedure was successful.

“We had to use chemicals that were safe and did not cause scalp burns and clearance. The scalp is healthy and it looks great, ”he said.
